I've been using various leather finishes now for sometime. Resolene, tan kote, RTC, etc etc but I want a more natural finish that not only locks in alcohol dyes but not also allows myself but allows customers to condition their products later down the line. I tried resolene for a while but didnt like the gloss it gives and its acrylic based which is prone to cracking and doesnt allow you to condition you products too. I recently bought some shoe leather balm and high gloss finish from Saphire products range to try out. I'm yet to test these out so wanted to reach out to everyone regarding this to see what experience have you found as we all want to try and give the best finishes for our customers but also aftercare for them also.

I've Designed a viking horn holder from vegan, dyed and airbrushed with fiebings Pro Black. Finished with copper rivets and leather lace with viking Runes.

I've been doing leatherwork for 6 months now whilst building my knowledge and skill levels I feel I'm ready to sell a few handmade items, the only issue is where? I've done anit of groundwork researching places like etsy, shopify, amazon handmade etc but they don't really appeal to me for the percentages they want to take. I've still got to build my website also. I've discussed this with a few other makers which this gets brought up alot. ( Niche ) find your target audience etc. But where exactly do I source that from? I have a business page on Facebook also tikto, Instagram too. I'm finding it very frustrating. Could anyone possibly have a chat and help. Many thanks Gav.

Hi everyone nice to meet you. I'm new here to the forum and wanted to give a brief explanation before I ask the question. I'm 4/5 months into my leather journey I'm very much enjoying the projects I've done to date. I like tooling, painting, airbrushing, dying and drawing etc. I'm looking to do thus on a full time basis so I'm in search of a cylinder arm sewing machine that's equivalent to the cobra cylinder arm sewing machine in the states.
