In Say Hello Before Posting
My name is Daniel, and I am new to leathercraft (sounds like an AA meeting). I am drawn the the craft based on its practical nature (beautiful, durable goods to fulfill daily needs rather then plasticized pieces of junk that will last until next week) and the challenge and growth potential as I pursue artisanal skillsets To say that I am currently obsessed with the Leathercraft masterclass tutorial vidoes is an understatement. And though my family may shake their heads and smile as I dive into another video, they are also coming up with a surprisingly long list of fine leather items they would like to receive once I achieve a level of competency :) I would love to hear from the greater leathercraft community the top 2-3 things people wish they had known as they started out, or specific areas of the craft to focus in on to accelerate the journey. Yes, there is pleasure in the journey, but avoiding common pitfalls makes it all the more enjoyable. My heartfelt thanks to Philip for providing such quality instruction through the course videos and other postings. Deeply researched and instantly useable skillsets. That's a hard thing to find these days. Regards Daniel
