Wow sounds hard Fadi! A newborn is a second job for sure! Well, if you want, you could set a timeline, and a project. Felling like somebody depends on you, or are waiting to see your progress helps me a lot also :D

@Prakash I think your on to something. The target belt, costs 75$. Dont think there messing with a leather core for that price :P :´D

Yet another test. Thicker leather, same core. So we are getting there. But comparing to the target picture, I have no idea what to do next. the raised effect is pretty, and okay subtle, but I want to create the beautiful rounded middle, that the target has. SO maybe making a rounder core, slightly thinner top leather, and maybe a little wider core

So I did another test, this time, thinner core. But I have made two mistakes. The top leather was split to thin, so wrapped around the core to good, loosing the subtle feel I was going for. Also made the stitches to close to the middle, but that would not made to much of a difference anyway, since I need thicker leather on top.

@Prakash Maybe is has another name. But Tandy sold them as Rain rounders. Rain being horse tack, not drops of water falling from the sky :D

Ahh, yeah that took some practice, but easier then you might think. I glued 2 1x1 strips of leather together, cut of the corners, wetted it, and ran it through a homemade rain rounder. Then I just open it up again, so that I had to halves :D

Phillip made a hole movie in it. Can really recommend it ! Think I covers all the points to mentioned

@Leathercraft Masterclass im not i understand complely, can you draw it? I talk about it in the next live maybe. 💪🏼 but for the main questio, how would you make a longer strap? my leather for the strap is 90cm, and need about 120-130cm. and buying a whole new hide seams to expensive. Its a bag with no hardwere at all, so using a chain, is not to good design wise.

I agree :) And that is for sure the best way. But buying a whole new hide, to make a longer strap, is to much I think

You are soo close to perfection Simone! Trust me, one day, you will find the "magic", and it is such a good feeling! Did you make the movie?

@alex.masica Maybe to late. But Alran leather is really hard to damage!, unless you have the brown bookbinders thing. You can use sandpaper, or a knife even. Try on at scrap piece first : D

Please keep it up Veronica!!, We have all been where you are now!, this was my 10 attempt at a card wallet. I focused SO much on getting the angle right, I was nearly shaking. And it shows!. For me, snub nose, and loop at the end of the awl. And practice, made me confidant, and stitches run straight now :D Another thing, is the leather you are using. its a vary stiff temper, so your stitches dont sink in the leather right. And that means to have to be even better! Also, remember that Guitar thing Phillip learned you! Dont get discouraged, you are doing great!

@Veronica (Nica) here you go! when i startet out, this, and the loop at the end of the awl, was game changing for me! the loop to learn to hold the awl right, and the snub nose for going in the hole, at the correct angle ( thats what she said) today I don’t use any of those things, but it helped me so much. I really think Phillips pioneered this techniqu 💪🏼

I made a Awl using phillips guide, that I some days still use. I call it "snob nosed" :P Gun people will understand I guess

SO SO sad that England has left EU. I just placed my last order at AA Crack. Man I loved that place. But now, it´s just too expensive. The plan was to make some super nice aprrons. but at that cost, I dont think I will be able to make the money back.
