Thought I'd post some bags that I've made over the last few months. The duffel bag is one of 16 bags ordered by a company for Christmas gifts. I was previously skiving by hand, but when I got that order I promptly ordered a bell skiver 🤣.
@amy5 Hooray! I'm feeling really great that I've subscribed. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed getting all of the supplies lol. I haven't done any hand stitching yet, so even getting the correct pricking irons is stressing me out! lol Do you use the Wuta ones? I think I found them on amazon. (WUTA New Leather Chisel All-Polished Leather Die-Steel Chisel French Style Pricking Iron Sharp Leather Punching Tool Kits,Obverse 3.38 mm 2 Teeth+8 Teeth) lol. Overall I'm just really excited and was super impressed by your work!! Can't wait to see what you make next!!
@lawetterau haha, my tool collection has definitely grown since subscribing! I don't have the Wuta pricking irons but I do have their edge creasers and like them. I went with the 4Z 3.38mm pricking irons and they've been great.
I see you're a dressage rider! I rode H/J and evented for years, and I'm looking forward to getting back into horses when my daughters are a little older. I think being an equestrian definitely gives you an appreciation for fine leather goods. Looking forward to seeing what you create!
@amy5 lol all of the tools. ugh... I know I'll get there! My amazon cart is making my eyes bulge already lol. re: dressage, I'm working on getting an amish draft mule rescue ready for his first show this summer! lol crazy right?! lol Also you did eventing! Amazing!! I love that so much. I'm too scared to try any of that! lol I'm like as close to 4 hoofs on the ground as possible! lol Also, I don't know how old your daughters are but get them on a pony! lol leadline!! lol :)
Amy! I joined this class series because of you! I saw your bags and commented on your rolled handles in the Production FB group! I love your work!!!
Nice job! Congrats!
@amy5 Really nice bags! That last one is my favourite, love the brown.
nice christmas gift. really great work, like the braided strap. also the 3rd pic looks interesting, is it a backpack?
