thanks, I like the box as well, you can try on your own, very easy to make by following the philips's video. I used leather scraps and dyed it brown color. now i am planning to make another different one with wood frame(the wood case has already halfway done). strongly suggest you to try, it is very fun in whole process and have feeling of old time Louise Vutton's craftman 😁😁😁
@ronnieli yes, I made a box already based on Philip’s video but used scrap leather for practice. Need to make another one; seeing your box inspired the thought!
hi Philip, thanks for the comment, I don't get lining the metal clips, how does it look like. can you share me some picture to help me understand? thanks!
@ronnieli You simply cover each side of the metal jaw with leather to protect from marking. That way the metal never touches your project. No pics I'm afraid.
It’s beautiful! Well done! AND the box next to it looks very nice too💓
@ronnieli Ah fantastic work! The small scales really go well with the Zenith. Well done.
Have you tried lining the metal clips? It may help prevent marking more delicate leathers. Pretty handy for edge painting!
