Indeed, I used 20mm width. It's been holding well also due to the leather wrap which helps with tension, I guess.

As for the tolerances, I dare say they are perfect, but I must say I had a bit of luck with my calculations for the final set. I used your molding block and had to figure out how you came up with some of the measurements to end up with a good fit, in terms of where to drill the hinge hole and the final bar lenght prior to bending. In hindsight, it's quite straightforward but I was scared of messing up the measures and ending up with a poor fit. Good challenge. Looking forward to make another!
