... but just in case, I post it again :)
Ok, let me introduce the first 2 of my new "Marina" collection. I will progressively (a.k.a. "when I find some free time") develop 2 items more. A family of 4 members!
I used Alran Saffian in navy blue, black nappa as lining, 3.0 mm irons and tons of patience.
I need to improve some construction details, these 2 are prototypes. Hope you like them.
And again... sorry for my photo quality. You already know that photography is not my best ability......
Fadi, I don’t want to be the cause of your marital problems 😝
Thanks for the compliments, I am not a spy at all, just try to do my best. There is always room to improve, and besides leather craft, photography is my worst headache in all this story. Agree with Philip, would you like to take a nice pic of that stuff? 😁
Thanks again Fadi for supporting my work 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@Leathercraft Masterclass @Maru Tuchi
Phil, I vote you ban Maru from the forum and courses and your life. Hear me out.
I did an "lets exchange something" with her. I received yesterday the first item in this post along with a keychain. And well, she can say what she want, I cannot help but think that she is a master craftswoman. The wallet was expertly made, her edge paint technique is astonishing, the sewing is on point. Not a single critique did I find. She is, to be honest, better than me at this (and we all know what a high opinion I have of myself).
So, the only thing that makes sense is that she is a corporate spy sent my someone in order to spy on you Phil and run you out of business. Save your business Phil, save yourself!
In all seriousness though, it is a real shame that the pictures do not do her work justice, like not even from afar. Maru's work is beyond incredible, the card wallet is extremly elegant and the keychain i literally was only able to look at it for like 30 seconds before my wife appropriated it and looked at me sideways and said "why don't you make nice stuff like this?". At which point I called my divorce layer xD
These are very nice! I would love to make something similar.
Nice work Maru, they look great, certainly more artisan than hobbyist.
@Maru Tuchi Love your designs! Still have a soft spot for Saffiano..
Beautiful work, Maru!
Hey Maru!
Love them (as I allready told you on Instagram!)
This is beautiful work. I love the "wave" idea and how it came out. Lots of people do waves, but they turn out weird or not so proportional. Yours are beautiful.
What did you use as a material for the slot pockets? I am working on someting similiar and i am struggling with finding a material thing enough.
