This looks like a very challenging project and I think your first attempt is admirable! I really respect and admire folks posting their ”first attempts” or work in progress prototypes. Yes, it’s amazing to see an article executed to perfection but, what’s even more amazing, is to see the start. Keep going!
@kwrcst Completely missed this post somehow, but well done! Definitely one of the top 3 hardest courses to complete, so pat yourself on the back for that.
Yes the frame flap is off. Simply undo the stitches by picking them out, then move it so it is central between the pillars and stitch back in.
What did you use as reinforcement under the goatskin on the panels? I notice it has folded in slightly.
You might be able to stuff a couple t-shirts in there to push the folds out, close it up and get the panels hot with a hairdryer (use caution) before leaving it for 24 hours. Depends on what you used for reinforcement though.
The bag frame is a little bent or maybe just not the exact angle. The lock hasp measured correctly but after install, it’s looks shifted by about 2 stitches

Great attempt, the shape was correctly formed. I could only see problems with your edges and stitches. Try again to better it.
