Here's a couple Cutler Briefcases I recently completed.
I finished the brown one a while back and was disappointed with how my piping turned out. I didn't trust my stitch lines around the corners and ended up taking more of a bite into the edge (if that makes sense). This resulted in the piping being pulled into the bag rather than laying cleanly on the outside as it should. Massaging / shaping / squeezing the edges did help a bit and it's still a decent bag.
My frustration caused me to build another in black and while I didn't pull the piping in as much, I still pulled it in around the corners. Thinking I will create some prototype corners and practice this a bit more.
As always both were great fun to build and Phil's direction was excellent. Will try to post some better photos when I have a chance.
Incredible work! You've done a really great job with it. Congratulations.
What did you use for the lining? Did you go with canvas or leather?
