I am sharing the results of my first shoe that I have made. It is a copy of the Birkenstock Montana. I thought "why not take a crack at making a pair of shoes? How hard can it be?
Well, harder than I thought, but not too hard really. And there is something very satisfying about making shoes that you can wear!
Nice job! Shoemaking is something I've never tried before. Great sanding work.
Well done! I've never delved into shoemaking before, but I have a great appreciation for the cobbler's sect of leathercraft. Have you considered putting some eyelets on the lace holes? May help keep them circular and stretch-free over time. I like your choice of leather as well as the baseball stitching!
