Hey guys!
Just wanted to share my best project I ever made :))
It's not perfect, But I was very excited to work on it.
It is lined bifold wallet. I used Badalassi Carlo waxy pull-up and Blue Buttero leather, both 0.8mm. It was the first time when I used lining and thin leather. All the colours were selected by the customer. Also, he asked to make pocket with pull tab. I didn't like this idea. I think it's not comfortable to use. I spent about 12 hours to make this wallet(templates design + making). Now I see that I should use a thinner thread, another type of pricking irons(I use diamond pricking irons) and good edge beveler :)
Thanks for the information, unfortunately I am UK based.
Nice one. I wouldn’t have thought on those two colours together but hey do work. Can I ask a question. You say both your leather are 8mm, where do you get them thinned. When I asked the leather supplier I was going to prefer from they had a 45 sq ft minimum. No good if you only want 1 or 2 skins done.
Looks beautiful!; really nice with the pulltab. never seen that before in a leather wallet
That looks fantastic, Adil. I love the color combo.
Beautiful work Adil!!! the leather is fantastic, I like very much the color combination!!
Man that badalasso leather is something!
love the wallet. Like you said, thinner thread for next time would be better.
I actually like the pul tab, but i would add a stitching line on the whole lengh of the leather where the pull tab is sewn (maybe turn the edge?) just for simetrical looks.
@Adil Fantastic work Teri, I've always been a fan of brown and blue, though I have rarely used the combo myself.
I like your take on improvements in the future, I agree on your assessment.
I think it's a good idea to do something you wouldn't normally create, there is always something to learn along the way as I'm sure you would agree.
Thank you for sharing that with us!
