Hi Jake, I'll give my suggestions, if you don't mind. These are threads that I use for wallets.

I use MeiSi linen thread at 0.45mm, and to me, it's the best option considering looks and price. Fil au chinois should be very good but it's a lot more expensive, so I haven't tried yet.

If you prefer a more robut look, you could try 0.55mm instead.

Amy Roke in polyester is also a good option. With the 0.45mm it's thin but tend to look a bit more

pronounced that the linen, probably due to it's slightly satin finish. To me, after hammering the stitches, it tends to look a bit in between the 0.45 and 0.55m linen counterpart.

Thank you. This helps a lot. I have used Fil au chinois with little success but perhaps I should try Meisi.

Maine sells rope, not thread :p It looks even more rustic and rugged then Ritza. A good looking polyester thread would be either Vynimo (widely available in the US) or my favorite is Artisan's Soul (but you will have to get it either from Aliexpress of Kevin Lee). And in Linen, you cannot go wrong with Meisi Superfine. They look stunning to be honest.
