My name is Tim Krenz and I live in the Philadelphia area of Pennsylvania, USA. I have been retired for twelve years, but two years ago due to medical conditions found the hobby of leatherwoork. I quickly developed a passion for it and enjoyed doing this craft on a daily basis as it was not work but play. I then set up a shop in the third bay of my garage which has both windows and is climate controlled.
As a beginner, I enjoyed all the creactivity of learnng and improving. I spent countless hours in my shop pounding out poor quality products as I learned new techniques or improved my skills. I started with Tandy Products but now have learned the value of quality and you get what you spend. I would say my work now is only slighty better than average but each day improving.
To date I have given all my projects away (in the hundreds) for free and people keep saying I should sell them and offer me money, (which I turn down) I do this as I totally enjoy my passion and do not want to make it a job. I have donated locally items for charity events. (coasters, billfolds, passport covers, clutch purses, coin holders, business card holders etc. The quality some really good, others good and some not so good.
I want and need to improve my skills and see this as a opportunity to do it.
