I started played golf with Hickory golf clubs in 2014. I would see guys playing with unauthenticate looking golf bags.
I asked them why and they commenting that 100 year old bags didn’t fair well. I thought maybe if I could rehab some, they would want them. I bought some old hickory bags off of Ebay and was on my way. From learning to repair them, I thought I should be able to make them. Hence, I became the Bag Lady. My moniker is "Too Olde Bags". Lol! Each bag takes around a month to complete. There are no patterns. I just take measurements, measure the leather and make it.
I love Phil's videos! I have learned so much about high end finishing, sharpening, putting in zips and so on. I have learned everything on my own with books and videos.
Luckily, these golf bags are not complicated, since they are mimicking bags from the 1900's through the 30's. When the first bags came out, they were using arrow quivers bags. Young Tom Morrison actually started this trend.
Prior to being retired, I was a professional golfer, then cop, and then paralegal. I wish I had had this craft in my 20's. I would have done it for a living.

Yes, I actually used some information from that book for the strap and the handle came from the other books on handles.
@amhciao Hey Andrea! Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself.
I can see why they take a while to build! Golf bags have always been one of the more complex leather projects.
Have you seen the golf bag build in Al Stohlman's book The Art of Making Leather Cases? I think it's volume 3
