Thanks Phil! I’ve been at it almost a year now. The first thing I did was a saddle for my motorbike, threw myself of a deeeep end there but I learned alot! Looking at it now I’m quite horrified but it still cushion's my rear pretty good 😄
I havent been able to put the awl down since and keep on doing various goods for friends and family. I haven’t found a perticular type of product that I love making more than anything else yet, I want to try as many things as I can really! If this infatuation for all things leather turns into a long lasting love I’m considering doing it full time, but for the time being I’m sort of in between recreational and professional. I’ve sold a few, given away a lot. Just focusing on the craft for now and trying not to get ahead of myself.
I used to work with antiques and vintage apparel and have a rather obsessive inclination for all things vintage. Just got a pair of Gomph french-edgers I’ve started putting to work, love em’!
Hi Adam and welcome to the forum!
How long have you been working with leather, and what kind of projects do you like to make?
