Just wanted to say hello to everyone on here.
i started with leather in april, doing a 4 day introduction to leatherwork course, and after that, wanted to continue the journey.
Over the last 10 years, i have been looking for things to do in my spare time, which i have wanted to do previously but either couldnt afford at the time, or didnt have the time needed to put in. this started with learning to sail and since getting my yachtmaster qualifications. i still sail once or twice a year, but dont have my own boat. After that, i re-learnt how to play the piano which i still do probably 3 times a week.
i have always been interested in wood working or leather working and took the plunge with leather.
i try to do things on a weekend, as during the week i dont have much time. i am lucky that i use illustrator at work, and have access to a very accurate reel fed printer which is perfect for creating designs and running them out to ruin on leather.
i will upload the 5 items i have made so far in chronological order with my own comments and critiques. any other feedback will be very welcome.
i hope to maybe find some other projects i can create and work on looking through what other people are working on.
thanks
paul
