Hi All started my leather work quite recently approx 9 months ago. I am now retired and unfortunately I am limited to what I am able to do due to a spinal injury. I decided to give leathercraft a go, and enjoy the fact that I can just move away from the bench when things get tough, and pick up again when I am able.
I started to watch youtube videos etc but after a while I wanted to learn more of the finer professional techniques with the idea of maybe selling a few items in the future.
I have concentrated mostly on small items so far mainly wallets, card holders etc. I thought i could teach myself, but found out there is only so far you can go, and needed some guidance.
I have just finished watching the first five videos and have been amazed at how much I have already learnt. I am keen to learn as much as possible and can't wait to get started on the smaller projects.
@jimpymeds Hello there! thank you for the introduction here, much appreciated.
It's wonderful to hear that you are benefitting from the courses, I hope we have a chance to see some of your work soon!
A warm welcome.
