Hello everyone
My name is Frank and I am super stoked to be taking these classes. I have already gleaned a ton of things that I couldn’t seem to figure out.
I have been doing leatherwork for about a year and a half now and have mostly figured everything out by YouTube videos or just trial and error. Some things I feel I’m not bad at but there are a lot of things I have not been able to figure out till these classes.
I have been fortunate to be able to acquire whatever tools I want, (I have a bad as budgeter for a wife), but still feel like my stuff isn’t very refined. I have learned that tools don’t make the maker. In my last four days or so of watching the videos, so much has become clear.
To be honest the bell skiver video alone was worth the price of admission for me. I bought one about 8 months ago and just found out what all the knobs do lol. The edge paint tips were money, I have glued up and sewn about ten scrap samples in the last two days just to see how much better they look now with my new found knowledge. Honestly there are so many little things I have picked up in just the few videos I watched so far that I just didn’t know but now seem so obvious.
Again super stoked to be here and totally motivated. Thanks Phil.

It's truly wonderful to hear that you are gaining value from the courses.
Checking your account I see you are well under way making bags! Some really nice weekenders there.
