Hi everybody I´m Diego a peruvian guy living in Köln. I started leathercraft masterclass course because i needed to improve my skills to make better leather products. And it was more than that. Even from the begginer tecniques videos i was so amazed by how far the skills from Philip were from where i was. Every video was delightful to see because its more than the developing of the article this are brilliant tips about the craftmanship that you would take years to find in different kind of all books. I´m feel really thankful to find this platform and sorry to introduce myself so late (i´ve been with the 6 moths program since 5 months ago) however I enjoy every video even so the advance tecniques ones are still a piece of art, at the moment
I ´m still struggling with the intermediate programm. By the way i would like to make a important question. Can anyone help me to find a proper online shop or physical shop to access to leather? normally from where i come from (Perú) you go to the store phantasize about the leather and then you buy it. at the moment was little difficult because for corona times many shops were closed and Im still not so good wth the germanlanguage to understand everything even so the correct name for wax polyester thread "die Fäden" "Sattlergarn" are completely new terms for me... Anyway, thanks in advance for any tip it would be really appreciated this is my instagram account https://www.instagram.com/bucefalo.leathercrafts/?hl=es-la And again many thanks to leathercraft masterclass and Philip for his wonderful work and the chance to learn so many things about the craftmanship. Hi Diego, welcome :)
Hey Diego! Welcome to the forum and thanks for joining us here.
Have you thought about requesting samples from online suppliers in Germany? Getting samples (usually free, or postage costs only) then ordering a single skin may be the way forward if visiting in person is not possible.
At least you can translate the website of an online supplier into Spanish or English.
