I just started leather work this year. My main hobby is woodworking and had intended to make a few tool covers and storage. My projects have expanded to wallets and bags for my wife and friends. The parallels between working with wood and leather are many- type of wood/leather, joints/stitching, and finishing. I am looking to learn new/correct techniques before I develop too many bad habits.
Is there any order that I should watch the videos. I generally shy away from the freebie videos as the a lot of the woodworking ones i've seen are wrong or downright dangerous.
Thanks
Eric
@ericspaw Hello Eric, thank you for introducing yourself to us here on the forum.
I too studied carpentry and joinery at college and I tend to agree, there is quite a bit of carry over between the two crafts.
As for videos, I would start at #1 which is the techniques of hand stitching, then work through to the projects. Essentially start to finish.
