Hello, hope you're all keeping well.
If a small company - newly startup works along side a product manufacturing company (handmade and sourced in Florence) how would one go about marketing and promoting their products?
I know they could take pictures of a few of their products, but once you have taken pictures of the products... what else could be added? for example, if say the company is 100% handmade by ones self. You could take pictures of stitching, edge painting, products, tools even gluing down thread. But with company who is just starting and their manufacturing partner making the product you seem to be very limited to what you can do to promote? unless you have a wide range of products, models, websites and other things?
Just wondering on your thoughts
Look forward to hearing from you
Thank you for the comment! I appreciate you taking the time to write it. That is really interesting, I will definitely take a loot at that.
Hey mate,
basically, the company is the same spirit as Stock & Barrel. They have a production partner, but they still have a small studio where they do the prototypes and such.
I would say lifestyle photography would be their goto. Shots of the products being used, artistic shots, maybe encourage buyers by offering a discount on the next purchase for people who post and tag the products you make.
The thing is, it is 100% different that what all of us do. We promote ourselves and our skills. We can be personal, talk about our failures, our trials, our sucesses and make the client feel like he is a part of the journey.
The reason why I mentionned Stock & Barrel is because Parker (the owner) was able to keep that personal realationship with customers while being a production house. Also, jsut DM him on IG, he is a super nice guy, always ready to help.
