Hi everyone,
Recently I have been trying to research unsuccessfully, some information about the kind of gusset construction in the photos attached. Does anyone know more about it? At glance it looks like it’s part folded outwards and then the bottom inwards (like some sort of “half welted”). I have seen It in most of the high-end travel bags and I was wondering the reason behind such a method and how to actually do it - maybe someone could recommend a good book?
Thank you so much
Angelo

Basic rule for Italian leather pattern makers ...... "what you add then you have to remove" to bring back the shapes and sizes
