I’d like to ask if anyone has tips on leather creasing. I love a good defined crease, and I typically will use my fileteuse before pricking then go back over it again after stitching. But through the process of edge painting the crease is always less defined. If I try to go back over it with the fileteuse it’s quite difficult to not touch the edge paint which results in ruining a perfect edge. Any tips that may help? Thanks so much!

Depending on what tip you are using, you can sometimes come back after everthing is finished and give a little heat with an S tip, just to redefine a crease line. Just be careful that you don't veer off and mark a completed project!
While it's natural for a crease to lose definition over time (through use of the product), loss of definition through edge painting alone is unusual. You may need to use more down pressure or heat to make the crease more permanent. It's a good idea to test various types of leather that you use with different heat settings, then lower the heat a few degrees at the point where the leather is beginning to look damaged.
The only other alternative is to use a screw crease where the guide is pressed down onto a damp paper towel, while the creaser head is heated with a small jet flame. That way your edge paint will not contact sufficient heat.
Does that make sense?
Hiya, quick question. What is it about the edge painting that is making the crease less defined? Is it that you arent going back over at the end?
I crease in between stitching and edge painting. Simplified process is as follows
Glue up
Stitch
Sand the edge
Edge crease
Edge paint
Drink a cup of tea 😄
