Good evening everyone,
I’m currently watching the latest course and I’m intrigued by the effect of bevelling the edges. Unfortunately I only work with chrome tanned leather so using an edge beveller is no option as it is too soft to bevel. I contacted Philip to ask his advice. He recommended edge bevelling only for vegtan and leather (heat) compression for chrometan.
How do you round or bevel your chrome tanned edges? I saw these E tips and I think they might do the trick as opposed to the standard F tips. What would you all recommend?
All help is much appreciated. Thank you in advance!
Best wishes,
Talitha Joy
I will check it out next time I visit Paris and might purchase one, thanks for the insight
Hi, you can make a fine line on the Chrome tan with these no problem. I can make some pictures for you later today.
I would not go for the E. is so hard to get straight line. F or G is my preferred. I use a little more heat then with Vegtan, other then that, it looks about the same.
biggest different is like what Phillip said, it won't conform to the edge. But the line you still get :)
