Hi everyone,
Very excited to be a new member. I'm just putting together my tools, described in the recommended tools section, in order to get ready to take the course and kick off my new leather business. I had no idea it was going to be so expensive!
Can anyone recommend brands that meet the intersection of cost and quality for the tools listed in the FAQ? Money is pretty tight so I really need to keep the initial costs down but I want to get the best quality possible at the same time. Trying to strike that very difficult balance.
If there are any recommendations of good online stores to use, that would also be greatly appreciated. So far, decocuir.com seems to be the best option but would like to hear other people's opinions.
Thanks!
some items are cheapest when you directly buy them from the source, for example: stitching clam and tools are cheapest directly from Vergez Blanchard. Some of the stitching clams or the clamping pliers are even twice as much through resellers or ebay! It's always good to compare the prices. Wuta has nice wing dividers and pricking irons of great price/quality value.
Hi G,
Try to use https://www.pethardware.com/en/leathercraft-tools/ - prices are attractive, delivery across EU is fast. All tools they are selling are from Tandy Leather.
@G Welcome G
Overall I find Wuta leather seem to hit the price/quality ratio best.
