I need an anvil for setting rivets into small interior areas on bags and help deciding what anvil to get. Tandy leather has a 2 pound "mini anvil", It's made for leather work but is it really heavy enough to do the job? I haven't seen anvils in any other of the leather tool suppliers that I frequent. Any input on anvil selection for leather work will be appreciated.

Hi there, I am a craftsman from the Netherlands and I made my own anvil on wheels! I took a heavy piece of oak tree trunk, flattened the top, so I got a rectangular 13" x 9" surface. On top of that 2 nylon kitchen cutting boards glued together and on top of that a punching mat 1/2" thick! Job done and I've got a heavy duty self-made anvil!!!
