I've been using various leather finishes now for sometime.
Resolene, tan kote, RTC, etc etc but I want a more natural finish that not only locks in alcohol dyes but not also allows myself but allows customers to condition their products later down the line. I tried resolene for a while but didnt like the gloss it gives and its acrylic based which is prone to cracking and doesnt allow you to condition you products too. I recently bought some shoe leather balm and high gloss finish from Saphire products range to try out. I'm yet to test these out so wanted to reach out to everyone regarding this to see what experience have you found as we all want to try and give the best finishes for our customers but also aftercare for them also.
Looks like wax is the way to go then. You can also water down some of the finishes you mention, so they don't form a complete barrier. Bag kote is based on shellac if you want something more natural.
