Good day wanted to get folks perspective on matching or contrasting thread color to leather color. I like a white thread on a mahogany finish but one flaw and its noticeable, at least to me… Your thoughts please. Thanks
@Frank from Virginia, USA My personal take on thread is that I generally don't like contrasting colours.
Sometimes I use contrast in my courses if I feel that it needs to be seen for demonstration purposes, or for historical accuracy (bright yellow on tan for the attache case).
I enjoy matching thread, or a slight contrast where the thread is a shade or two lighter for a mild contrast.
I generally avoid using thread that is darker however, for no reason other than it doesn't look right to me. Hard one to explain.
I go more into this in 'The 7 Signs Of Luxury' which is in the blog.
When I started, I matched all my colors, to hide my mistakes. But after watching Philips videos on it, I used only contrast, for the reason, I could see HOW I made mistakes. Today both my sides looks great and never hide my thread.

Mr. Philip was hoping to get your take on this. Thank you sir....
