Skiver rod. The rod that inserts into the end of the roller will not stay fully into the roller causing the roller to rise and lower.

Problem solved. The screw circled in red need to be advanced slightly. The nut has to be loosened and from the opposite side, tighten the screw again. As Phillip says it’s “ a little fiddley” but it worked.
