I was thinking does there exist a table what is the optimum ratio between the thicknes of the leather and number of stiches that are optimal cosmeticaly.
What gives the best cosmetic efect if you know what i mean :-)

I usually make my decison regarding spi and thread size not based on the leather thickness, but based on the overall dimension/shape of my project.
It's just such a subjective thing that there really isn't a cheat sheet.
Various leathers can also look different even with the same pricking iron and thread thickness just to add confusion. Usually due to thickness and density.
Sometimes when starting a project I will take a scrap of the leather I will be using and try various iron sizes with the thread I've chosen to use. You may have seen me do that on Instagram stories where I get people to vote for the best looking seam..
