How do you make a raised belt with a turnover? Since the turnover needs to be about half the thickness of the belt, do you continue the insert to the end of the belt, or do you stop the insert at the point where the turnover starts? Hope this question makes sense.

Great. Thank you for the answer.
@julievinsant1 Great question!
The easiest answer is to take the techniques from 'The Making Of Luxury Watch Straps', then scale them up!
You don't need half thickness if you're not working with solid leather as you have the opportunity to use non-stretch reinforcements like nylon tape. This is the benefit when working with multi material composite projects such as a raised belt.
