Quick question:
Would it be better the use PVA or contact cement to attach leather to a wooden strop.
Would either lend itself better to having the leather replaced in the future? Or would it not be worth replacing leather on a strop after a couple years of use.
Thanks in advance!
I think I will stick some card on the other side of the strop then :)
Thank you Johan!
I changed the leather on my strop and using card instead. Card has a more firmer surface and make the apex on the end stay longer intact. I used PVA to stick it to the strop. After a while you can easily remove the card with a scraper and sandpaper to replace the layer. O yes, I also use a polish past on the card. Philip did mention this way on one of the video
