Hey guys!
I know there's a post with a similar theme, but I want to know your opinion about big packages.
How do you pack your bags and briefcases when you send them to customers? Do you make something fancy or just put in a cardboard box?
I finished my first folio case and thinking about the package.
I have this fabric. I thought maybe I can make something like a bag with it...
I bought a new cushion at half price and made into a dust cover, only £3.50.

I would definetly deliver with a "bag", to both protect it when shipping it and for the customer to have something to keep the briefcase in when he is not using it.
Suede is an amazing option, Linen is another.
As far as leather wrapped case goes, if the customer is not paying you for that, then don't.
I’ve delivered my briefcases in person to my clients, but even then I would make a protective case or cover for them to use to transport it back home. I normally use thick suede and sew a loose cover for the briefcase. But if they want something nicer I make a timber box lined with suede and with leather carry handles. I charge for that though.
To post it, I’d make sure the leather of the case can’t rub against anything. A suede cover would work well. Then I’d wrap it in bubble wrap and a few layers of cardboard front and back to stop punctures and bending. Then that’d go in a cardboard box.
