Hello,
I have a friend who dabbles in leathercraft and due to the current economic situation in our country, he found a job abroad and will be away from Lebanon for 11 months per year.
He has around 6 hides that he needs to "store". His workshop/house is in an extremly humid climate.
Any ideas what could be the best way to store them so that they do not spoil?
Thanks for the help
@Fadi Somewhere flat, dark and allow the leather to breathe.
Under his bed with a sheet of brown paper between each skin if there is high humidity.
Silica gel?
Perhaps, use a vacuum sealed storage bags... Roll them in one of those cardboard cylinder to maintain the shape and put them in air tight seal bags and then put them in a big plastic container... Maybe drop one of those dehydrate crystal in the plastic container...
Hope this helps or get an inspiration from it!
Best of luck to your friend!
