Left handlers

I understand that it can be done using either dominant hand or not non-dominant. The same can be said for anything using our hands. Shooting a basketball, golf, shooting a gun. But I can say first hand I have seen amazing difference when using the dominant hand. I worked with a person in the military that learned to shoot right handed because she was told that is the way she must learn. After endless hours of training she hit a wall in improvement. Luckily the trainer that believed that people that were left handed where witches left and the new trainer decided it was time to test her dominant eye and dominant hand. With her being left hand and eye dominate she was always struggling. She almost immediatly went from being one of the weakest shooters to one of the strongest shooters in the group simply by changing one thing.

Jo asked if there is any information on what needs to be done differently. I think it is doing Jo a disservice by just saying that it doesn’t matter and don’t be a witch. ;-). Can she learn to do things opposite with the non-dominate hand? Sure. But why should she? Can she buy pricking irons with reverse patterns? Sure. But why should she? Can she learn from the beginning how to stitch using her dominate hand, just like right handed people do? Absolutely!
