Many Thanks for the response. I have used a small hammer none metal and that did not make any difference then the larger one, the two pin goes in like a treat. I did think that it may be the number of teeth trying to perpetrate the leather at once. making it more difficult, that is why I opted for the larger hammer, don't get me wrong I don’t hit them hard, the weight of the hammer should be suffice. I have a Dremel and some polishing pads so will give that a go, but how would I polish the inner section of the pins/teeth, would some leather and compound wrapped around the teeth do the trick?
