Hello, is the “Greyboard“ that Phil refers to in many videos (I.e. the watch case video for one example) obtainable in the United States? Is it called by a different name? Where have you found it?
This is for parts that require “rigidity“ on some projects - but, I believe it is advisable for creating patterns as well - which is what I am after right now. Something more durable that may have more longevity.
If not “Greyboard” Anybody have suggestions for what they like to use?
Thank you!!!
Gus
Is this similar to poster or bristle board or is it heavier?
Amazon has it. It’s also called chipboard. Or its at least similar. Grafix Medium Weight Chipboard... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0013JRFUA?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thank you so much! I was way overthinking that. Much appreciated!
Basically it is just a sheet of cardboard that is gray, at least that's what I have found here in the Netherlands, some common thickness are 1 & 2mm. If you google search for greyboard and then check the shopping tab you will see what's available near you 😁 It is also used in the painting world for backing paintings, so possibly that can help. Although I am pretty sure that most craft stores would carry it as well.
