Ladies & Gentlemen,
I'm looking for a reputable supplier of distinctive leathers in Europe, namely a supplier akin to Rocky Mountain. I’m in the market for Epi leather, fine goatskin and anything that stands apart or is certainly classy. While in the US, Rocky Mountain is not the worst choice, however, being from Ireland, something closer to home would be most welcome.
Thoughts and suggestions please.
Stephen
Spain = paella, sangria, sun, mediterranean, balconing.... what else?? 😎
Thanks for the heads up. I’ll get my head down and get sussing shortly. I’ve got a few week’s holidays now so no excuses.
As for Ireland, yes, I’m from the €uropean side, Dublin to be precise. I don’t want to get political however I genuinely feel for those whose livelihoods straddle borders with a foot in each camp. The BBC have covered umpteen businesses from Joe Bloggs bus tours to Aston Martin and how it’s likely to affect. But industry marches on as does life. All change is difficult at first but once the dust settles, everyone will find their new norm. If history has shown us anything, it’s that the British are supremely resilient and robust although there are come communities who will be affected more harshly than others. I empathise.
As for adoption, some of you are aware though I’m from Ireland, I live in Dubai where we have only two seasons a year, hot and very f**king hot. I’d like little more than to have my very own leathercraft master (or God as the Chinese would put it) in the house however we’ve got a little one who’s a proper time sponge so regrettably, adoptions aren’t on the cards. I might suggest, if one hasn’t already, that eligibility for Irish passports is something that may ease travel issues and currently, there are a considerable number of British citizens digging up old paperwork on granny to see if its an option. Just saying.
I think I’ve waffled enough. Again, thank you to all for your input.
Stephen
@stephenkgavin You can check out Italhide who supply all sorts of high end leathers in Europe. It may also be worth emailing tanneries you want to buy leather from direct to see if they sell by the skin.
Are you on the lucky side of Ireland that gets to stay in the EU? And if so can you adopt me?
Many thankyous
