I can’t tell if I’m edge creasing correctly. I’m using an electric edge creaser. I think I burnt the leather in the first pic. Are the edges on the right side in the second pic correct? I’m using chrome tanned leather.
You're just melting the polyurethane top later with the heat. Saffiano is a bit of a pain to crease as the coating will usually melt way before you reach a temperature hot enough to crease the chrome leather underneath. Try less heat and more pressure. A manual creaser may be easier to apply extra pressure with if you own one.
Thank you! That makes a lot of sense. I do have a manual creaser. So I’m guessing I should apply a little heat and then go over the line again with the manual creaser with more pressure right? I should only be expecting a subtle crease line?
Being heavily textured, a crease line isn't going to stand out as much as it would on smooth leather, or leather that darkens with heat.
I'd say the best way to find out is by experimenting to see what works for you. If you have a manual creaser, just add some heat (where it's not too hot to touch, but too hot to let your finger linger on it) and crease with more pressure.

I cannot tell anything from the pic. The first one looks like you might be a bit a hot, but cannot really judge. The second one, i have no clue?
Could you take closer shots?
Any idea if this is a goat, calf or something else Saffiano?
