Hello Leathercraft Masterclass Experts!
I am in the process of making a tote, it consists of Chrome tan with a bit of Veg Tan Accents and handles. I have Uniters Edge Paint arriving on Tuesday, however they were out of the primer at the time I placed the order. I have used Tokonole as a base coat, sanded, and then painted the edges with EdgeFlex and this has held up well. I have not used Uniters before and am wondering if Tokonole would serve well enough as a base coat? It would be great if I could get right to painting on Wednesday after the United Paint gets here. I did see where Phillip recommended French Saregum Water-Based Glue diluted as a base coat. Should I wait for that (it is also in my Tuesday order) or go ahead with Tokonole?
Thank you!
Cindy
I just had a thought. .... a twist on a quote taken from an Equine Philosopher .....
"The more I sand my edges, the better my edge cutting gets"
