I am trying to sharpen my awl but i don't have a good sharpening stone to do it with, i mean my awl is so bad. (have to use all my force to get it through the leather.
Could anyone give me any suggestions on a diamond stone or something similar which is good but not super expensive?
Thanks
@Vollia You can simply use wet/dry sandpaper in various grits from 400 to 1000 before polishing compound. Diamond plates are worth investing in for future use.
I will have to take a look at the supplies again and update the links.
Check out the diamond stones under Course Supplies, Techniques of the Blade. They are dirt cheap. I bought several and am having good luck with them.
