@LowlandsLeather Ha! I'd never say never, but they are very complex to pull off correctly, I think very few students would even attempt it.

The biggest issue though, is that there are no high quality solid brass top frames commercially available at this time.

@Leathercraft Masterclass Yea I can imagine, I recently picked up a couple vintage brass top frames and I really want to figure out how to make one eventually. In general old traditional style bags and briefcases fascinate me and I really want to get more into making those 😁 A book about Dulles bag making just arrived by mail and I am defintely excited to dive into it, although with my translater app because its in chinese 😂
