Hello!
I am trying to customize the color of my leather goods, I am looking to make my finish appear like the sky, ranging from a light blue at the bottom, dark blue at the top. Dyes seem to have an inconsistent finish , and the colors i am looking for don't seem to be possible to achieve. Moved on to trying acrylic leather paint, seems to work the best thus far, I am afraid of how sustainable the finish will be (cracking etc). I have applied a sealer and clear coat and that seems to have helped. I have been applying with a brush, but because the acrylic dries so fast I cant achieve proper blending and it leaves brush marks, Im looking to move on to an airbrush next and potentially have better results.
Anyways enough rambling from me, I was wondering if anyone had advice for how to achieve this type of effect or maybe there is an oversight on my part. Are there vendors that sell leathers that are finished with a gradient?
Many Thanks,
Karl from California

Wise words! That should do it. Although I have used an airbrush before, I have never use one on leather. A lot of people use it to patinate leather (Berluti for example), so I see no reason you couldn't get that effect with leather paints.
