Popped into a local vintage/thrift store earlier today, to look at some furniture.
They have a Bill Amberg briefcase for sale, that had just come in. It’s not his Rocket briefcase -the one that’s on display at the museum - but rather seems to be an earlier version. (And, coincidentally, a carpet-bag-type design.)
I’ve attached a few photos.
I‘m temped to buy it - either to spruce it up or to take it apart - but I’m curious: In your opinion, is something like this worth $250?
@Prakash Apologies for the late reply, I was away in London for a few days.
I'm not particularly good at valuing the work of small brands, so I have no idea regarding its actual current value. If it's worth it to you, then that's good enough of course.
However, stamped twist locks, machine stitching and a synthetic lining won't make it particularly desirable to a well versed vintage collector.
