@chris Taking a look on Skillshare.com, the course isn't there anymore, but we are talking a few years ago now.

To be honest there is a lot on YouTube now that wasn't around back then.

If you're nerdy about learning like I am, buy a notebook just for picking up tips and useful information you find online.

Categorise the notebook with tabs, and when you learn one new useful bit of information, write it down then go and try it out immediately with the camera (important).

@Leathercraft Masterclass I am absolutely that nerdy. I actually use OneNote exactly as you describe. I have a page full of notes, techniques I hadn't seen/heard before, supplies/tools I might want someday, from just your pattern-making video alone.

@chris That's great! Learning is a skill in itself.

I'm a fan of technology, but I remember reading about the power of writing vs typing on memory (I forget the book).

I made the switch about two years ago and I definitely notice myself memorising things more clearly when I use a pen. To the point where I rarely have to go back over written notes.

Just food for thought, and everybody learns differently. A lot comes down to convenience so do what works best for you.

A great excuse to make a leather notebook cover though!
